Aim Your meal October 31, 2017
Hi, It's been so long but I still miss you often.
One memory just came up few days ago, it was the night you cooked some Spanish chicken dish for me and until now i haven't find any dish that matches the taste. It was delicious, i didn't know what was it called. But anyway, you said you were not a good chef but that dish cheered me up for me gloomy day at school. Thank you. Hugs as always.

I have fond memories of Aunt Mona.  I was best friends with her neice, and one year when we were in high school, we got to take a road trip to see her.  She showed us a good time.  She took us to school to do art (although we were probably more interested in the BOYS in her classes)  For dinner we made pizza, or maybe we were just reheating it.  Either way, we burned it BAD--like inedible.  But she never took herself too seriously, and she saved some and shellacked it for us as a gift later.  Ha ha ha.  I love you Aunt Mona.  So sorry to here you are gone.

Mona dated my older brother in high school and collage.  She was a beautiful woman who always treated me nicely.  I seem to recall her always smiling.  I shared a common interest in art with her and I am not at all shocked by how many peoples lives she touched.  It saddens me that she didn't have time to touch more....

Rest in peace Ramona, I am better for knowing you

What a wonderful person. I remember Mona waiting for her first teaching assignment. She had to work, yet she needed someone to be close to her phone when 'the call' came in. I stayed at her place for a week. I don't know who was more excited when that call came. I was so nervous taking down the information. I repeated every word the man said, making sure I would be able to tell Mona every detail perfectly.

I'll never forget that summer. I'll never forget you Mona. You are an inspiation to everyone. No matter how tough things get...with hope, and confidence, anything is possible.

Fly with the angels Mona. You earned your wings here on Earth.

I taught with Mona in Shakopee back in the 80's.... I am just so sad to hear about her death. She was absolutely the most positive, fun lightening bolt of a human I ever met. When out daughter, Sara, was born in 1986, Mona painted a beautiful Disney oil painting for Sara's nursery. It has three blocks painted in the foreground with "SMA"- Sara Margaret Anderson... we have cherished it always... as I will the memories of Mona's light! Peace. Lucretia and Steve Anderson (my husband- who also loved Mona!)
